The great thing about exercise for telomere protection and brain fitness (the growth of new neurons and neural connections) is that you do not have to train for the Olympics or a triathalon to benefit.  For our purposes, and I mean from a 64 year old guy working on word recall issues,  exercise that makes me breathe a deeply enough that it is hard to exercise and talk at the same time is all that is necessary.  Think walk a little further a little faster.  No expensive club membership necessary, no expensive, stylish workout attire necessary, no trainer necessary, just a committment to walk.  I do have a YMCA membership, and I use it frequently, but it is not necessary for you.  Just get going.
